Dorothy’s Memory Cafe, Sale

Steph Douglas Blog 3 Comments

Dorothy’s Memory Café, in the central area of Sale, welcomes people living with Dementia with their carers.  It is run by a team of volunteers. The Café is open Every Tuesday (except Christmas and New Year) from 1pm to 3pm. Cake and drinks are served throughout the afternoon and there are lots of table activities, monthly exercises for older people, a monthly “fun bingo” session, and community signing every week. It’s a very relaxed atmosphere – nothing is compulsory. A £2 donation is gratefully received for those that desire.

Age UK’s Dementia Worker visits on the third Tuesday of every month to give advice and support to anyone attending. For more information please ring Margaret on 0161-611-9275.

Hi I would love to bring Sylvia along to your cafe as she gets lonely sat at home looking at 4 walls.
Would it be possible to let me know where abouts in Sale your cafe is.
    Thank you so much.
