Festival of Rememberance at Manchester Airport…

The Herbert Murray team were very proud to receive an invite from The Trafford Veterans to attend the Festival of Remembrance, held at Manchester Airport.

We have been working closely with the Trafford Veterans since they noticed our blog about Robbie’s career and the time she spent in the army.

At the service we met some very special people, one person in particular was Lewis, who at the age of 96 captured our hearts with his stories and positive outlook on life.  Lewis had served in the Royal Signals so Robbie, being a fellow Royal Signals veteran had lots to talk with Lewis about, and how the Royal Signals had changed over the years.

It was wonderful to see The Mayor of Trafford, Tom Ross at the event and to talk with him about the veterans and how important it is to remember those that made the supreme sacrifice in the great war.
