What is included in our direct cremation service:

• Bringing your loved one into our care
• Your loved one will rest with us in our funeral home until the day of the funeral.
• Transporting your loved one to our local crematorium
• A dignified, unattended cremation carried out by our caring team.
• The Herbert Murray direct cremation is inclusive of third-party fees, such as Crematorium Fees and Doctors Fees.

Things to consider when choosing the Direct Cremation option….

• Mourners cannot attend the crematorium, your loved one will be cared for by our team on the day of the funeral.
• Farewells are to be said before your loved one arrives at the funeral home with us, as we unfortunately cannot facilitate chapel visits.
• The date and time of the service will be chosen by Herbert Murray Funeral Directors.

Herbert Murray Funeral Directors can also offer a lower cost, more affordable funeral service for your loved one.

Our simple and dignified funeral service may be more suitable for those who wish to save costs but would also prefer a more traditional service.

What is included in our Simple Funeral Service:

• We provide a dignified and professional service for you and your loved one throughout the funeral arrangements.
• The Herbert Murray simple funeral service is inclusive of third-party fees, such as Crematorium Fees and Doctors Fees.
• Completing all legal paperwork and liaising with third parties to arrange the funeral service.
• Arranging the funeral date and time on your behalf, at a local crematorium or graveside.
• Bringing your loved one into our care and placing them in our simple and dignified coffin
• Whilst your loved one is resting with us; you can visit them in our chapel of rest at a pre-arranged time.
• We will meet you with your loved one on the day of the funeral at the local crematorium or graveside.
• We safely guide family or friends to carry your loved one into the service, or alternatively we can use a wheeled bier to take your loved one into the service.

Things to consider when choosing the Simple Funeral Service….

• A cortege on the day of the funeral cannot be arranged, we will travel directly from Herbert Murray Funeral Directors to the crematorium or the graveside and meet you there.
• A standard coffin will be provided, this cannot be changed.
• We are unable to provide extra team members to carry your loved one into their service. However, we can walk by their side using a wheeled bier.
• The date and time of the service is to be chosen by Herbert Murray Funeral Directors
• We are unable to arrange additional services such as flowers or order of service. Families can supply their own flowers or order of service.

For both the Direct Cremation Service and the Simple Funeral Service, we ask that the balance is paid in full within two days of making the funeral arrangements.
